Sky Warriors: The P-3 Orion

Originaly designed as a land-based, long-range anti-submarine warfare petrol aircraft, the P-3′s mission evolved in the late 1990′s and early 21st centure to include surveillance of the battle space, either at sea or over land. It can view the battle space and instantly provide information to ground troops, especially the United States Marines. The P-3C has advanced submarine detection sensors such as directional frequency and ranging sonobuoys and magnetic anomaly detection equipment. The avionics system is integrated by a general purpose digital computer that supports all of the tactical displays, monitors and automatically launches ordnance and provides flight information to the pilots. The P-3C can carry a mixed payload of weapons internally and on wing pylons.

Military Officer QUestions in general?

Question by jsu266: Military Officer QUestions in general?
I have B.S. in Social Science/Education. I have been wondering about becoming an officer in a Reserve or Guard branch. From what little I have read the Navy Reserve is the only branch that allows you to become an officer without an intial couple years of active duty. Is this correct? What about the Coast Guard Reserve? Also just courious what is the deployment rate for the NR? I looked at some stats that said the army reserve has been less deployed to Iraq than the national guard. Is that right?
I cant believe that you but that garbage about the cruise missle. I dont even have to watch that stupid video I have seen it. All I have to know is this. If our government wanted to have an elaborate conspiracy to have a reason to go to war they would not have blown up the twin towers and the pentagon. Come on. Dont you think one tower would have been enough? Or just some good old fashioned propaganda. The U.S. military attacking the HQ of the U.S. military. That makes a lot of sense. It reminds me of how many ignorant people there are in our country.

You can become an officer in any branch of the military without being enlisted first. The only requirement is a bachelor’s degree and to meet other physical and moral requirements. Plus score high enough on officer qualification tests.
